The composition and properties of alloy

Alloy 36NKHTJU5M belongs to the group of non-magnetic precision alloy with given elastic properties and production method — a subgroup of a precipitation-hardenable corrosion-resistant alloys. In the composition in addition to iron, comprises:

Nickel — 35…37%;
Chrome — 12,5…13,5%;
Molybdenum 4 to 6%;
Titan is 2.7…3.2 percent;
Aluminium — 1,0…of 1.3%;
Manganese — 0,8…1,2%;
Silicon — 0,3…0,7%.

Characteristics of sheet metal

The limit of temporary resistance, MPa — 590…880 — 950…1350 (respectively, annealed and work-hardened tape);
Yield strength, MPa — 880 1180…;
Relative tensile elongation, % — 25/14 (respectively, annealed and work-hardened tape);
The relative narrowing of the cross section. % — 35/22 (respectively, annealed and work-hardened tape).

Assortment and application

Alloy 36NKHTJU5M used for the manufacture of elastic elements in measuring instruments of high precision, the maximum operating temperature not exceeding 250⁰ C. Acceptable use of the alloy in certain aggressive environments. The heat-resistant alloy, has a high resistance, in particular at elevated temperatures. Used as a construction material for parts of internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines, nuclear boilers, and jet engines.

The tape is made of a width 20−69 mm with a gradation of 1 mm, a width of 70−240 mm with a gradation of 5 mm, a width of 240−400 mm with gradation of 10 mm.
The tape is supplied in rolls, welded rolls or segments. Segments of the tape are manufactured with a length of 1000−1200 mm in width and up to 1.7 mm inclusive and a length of 500−1200 mm when the thickness of the tape over 1.7 mm.
