Overview of copper

Copper is a reddish orange, soft metal that has bright metallic luster. It is a malleable, ductile, and is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity of all metals, only silver has a higher electrical conductivity. Copper surfaces exposed to air with high humidity, gradually fading to a dull brownish color. With constant and prolonged contact with moist air copper roof will slowly corrode to form the carbonate compound green, which consists of copper sulphate.

Copper mining
